Shelby Hackenberg presenting bank's donation to Herr Memorial Library

Mifflinburg Bank & Trust (MBTC) made a donation to the Herr Memorial Library located at 500 Market Street in Mifflinburg. MBTC’s Mifflinburg office manager, Shelby Hackenberg, presented the donation to Corrie Post, library director.

Donations such as this provide financial support for the public library in many ways. “These funds enable us to continue expanding our collection of materials to lend to our patrons, they support various programming opportunities for all ages, and they assist us in meeting the myriad of literary needs of our community in a variety of creative ways. Also, these funds greatly assist in off-setting ever-increasing operational costs that have risen in our current economic climate. Since the days of Andrew Carnegie, libraries have long been a bright spot of education, literacy, advancement and social development. This generous gift will help make our goal of being the community's destination for information, literacy and life-long learning a reality”, Post said.
